Protein Expression of p15 and p21 Plays an Unfavorable Prognostic Role in Adult Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) Patients Independently of Their Gene Promoter Methylation Status.
Fabiana De Cave,Maria Teresa Petrucci,Chiara Gregorj,Maria Rosaria Ricciardi,Samantha Decandia,Paola Bergamo,Sara Santinelli,Antonella Vitale,Giorgina Specchia,Francesco Di Raimondo,Andrea Camera,Eugenio Gallo,Felicetto Ferrara,Francesco Nobile,Nicola Cascavilla,Francesco Fabbiano,Giuseppe Leone,Omar Perbellini,Patrizio Mazza,Luciana Annino,Piero Galieni,Eustachio Miraglia,Giovanna Meloni,Paola Fazi,Marco Vignetti,Robert Foa,Agostino Tafuri +26 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the relationship between aberrant DNA methylation and protein expression of tumor suppressor (TS) genes has been extensively evaluated in adult ALL series, in which the authors evaluated in primary cells from newly diagnosed adult ALL patients, uniformly treated according to the LAL2000 GIMEMA protocol, the gene promoter methylation status of p73, p21, p15 and p16.

Primary Plasma Cell Leukemia: Results of a Retrospective Italian Multicentric Survey.
Livio Pagano,Caterina Giovanna Valentini,Valerio De Stefano,Adriano Venditti,Giuseppe Visani,Maria Teresa Petrucci,Anna Candoni,Giorgina Specchia,Carlo Visco,Enrico Pogliani,Felicetto Ferrara,Piero Galieni,Alessandro Gozzetti,Giuseppe Avvisati,Giuseppe Leone,Pellegrino Musto,Alessandro Pulsoni +16 more
TL;DR: Evaluating in patients (pts) with pPCL the clinical features, the prognostic factors, and the efficacy of treatments showed that allo-SCTs did not allow for a reliable separate statistical analysis, and it is suggested that allogeneic SCTs should be treated with caution as well as the relatively low number of BTZ or Thalidomide drugs.

Mobilization of Haematopoietic Stem Cells CD34+ in Patients undergoing Elective Lung Resection: Observational Pilot Study
Antonella Cotoia,Gilda Cinnella,Giorgina Specchia,Salvatore Grasso,Nadia Rossana Fede,Paolo Pugliese,Francesca Massenzio,Francesco Sollitto,Domenico Loizzi,Arcangelo Liso,Giuseppe Capotorto,Lucia Mirabella,Michele Loizzi,Michele Dambrosio,Paolo Pelosi +14 more
TL;DR: The data show that peripheral blood CD34+ are mobilized from the bone marrow in patients undergoing lung resection and their count seems to be correlated with WBC andCD34+ basal values and with patients age.
Efficacy and safety of netupitant/palonosetron combination (NEPA) in preventing nausea and vomiting in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patients undergoing to chemomobilization before autologous stem cell transplantation.
Nicola Di Renzo,Maurizio Musso,Rosanna Scimè,Alessandra Cupri,Tommasina Perrone,Clara De Risi,Domenico Pastore,Attilio Guarini,Andrea Mengarelli,Fabio Benedetti,Patrizio Mazza,Saveria Capria,P Chiusolo,Luca Cupelli,Vincenzo Federico,Valentina Bozzoli,Anna Rita Messa,Rosella Matera,Davide Seripa,Paolo Codega,Erminio Bonizzoni,Giorgina Specchia +21 more
TL;DR: The authors evaluated the efficacy of every-other-day dosing of NEPA administered during chemomobilization in patients with relapsed-refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

TL;DR: This preliminary analysis in 1075 ET patients of the Registro Italiano Trombocitemia (RIT) treated with HU shows that the extra-hematological adverse events referred to the HU (HU-EHAEs) occurred with not negligible rate and need to be object of attention in the management of ET patients.
