Recent advances and challenges in graphene-based nanocomposite scaffolds for tissue engineering application.
Zahra Niknam,Faezeh Hosseinzadeh,Forough Shams,Leyla Fath-Bayati,Ghader Nuoroozi,Leila Mohammadi Amirabad,Fariba Mohebichamkhorami,Sahar Khakpour Naeimi,Soudeh Ghafouri-Fard,Hakimeh Zali,Lobat Tayebi,Yousef Rasmi +11 more
TL;DR: The characteristics of graphene and its derivatives, such as their excellent electrical signal transduction, carrier mobility, outstanding mechanical strength with improving surface characteristics, self-lubrication, antiwear properties, enormous specific surface area, and ease of functional group modification are discussed.

Current progress in engineered and nano-engineered mesenchymal stem cells for cancer: From mechanisms to therapy.
Forough Shams,Bahareh Pourjabbar,Nader Hashemi,Navid Farahmandian,Ali Golchin,Ghader Nuoroozi,Azam Rahimpour +6 more
- 14 Sep 2023
TL;DR: The precise role of genetically modified MSCs in tumor environments is still up for debate, but the beginning of clinical trials has been confirmed by promising results from preclinical investigations of MSC-based gene therapy for a wide range of malignancies.

Surface Coating of Polyurethane Films with Gelatin, Aspirin and Heparin to Increase the Hemocompatibility of Artificial Vascular Grafts
Simzar Hosseinzadeh,Forough Shams,Roya Fattahi,Ghader Nuoroozi,Elnaz Rostami,lida Shahghasempour,Nasim Salehi-Nik,Mahboubeh Bohlouli,Arash Khojasteh,Nazanin Ghasemi,Habibollah Peiravi +10 more
TL;DR: Because of the highly hydrophilic nature of heparin, this reagent was hydrolyzed faster than aspirin and therefore its influence on platelet aggregation and cell growth was greater and given the biocompatible concentrations of both biomolecules that are required for endothelial cell proliferation, NO synthesis and platelet adhesion.

Deregulation of microRNAs in oral squamous cell carcinoma, a bioinformatics analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify the deregulated miRNAs possibly critical in the oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) progression and analyze their involvement in the pathogenesis.

Synergistic Effects of Graphene Oxide and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Immobilized in Polycaprolactone Nanofiber as a Candidate for Diabetic Wound Healing
Ghader Nuoroozi,Meisam Omidi,Masoumeh Rajabibazl,Reyhaneh Hoseinpoor +3 more
- 10 Apr 2021
TL;DR: This research presents a novel and scalable approach to tissue engineering and Applied Cell Sciences called “Smart Tissue Engineering” that can be applied in the context of medical tourism.
