Phase Transformations in Materials
Gernot Kostorz
- 01 Oct 2001
TL;DR: Theoretical theories of phase transitions in crystalline solids have been studied in this paper, including homogeneous second phase precipitation transformations involving interfacial diffusion diffusionless transformations spinodal decomposition high pressure phase transformations atomic ordering solidification.

Formation and characterisation of MoSe2 for Cu(In,Ga)Se2 based solar cells
Daniel Abou-Ras,Gernot Kostorz,D. Brémaud,Marc Kälin,F. Kurdesau,Ayodhya N. Tiwari,Max Döbeli +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction kinetics of MoSe2 formation were investigated by selenizing Mo layers in Se vapor at different temperatures and for different durations, and it was found that in all samples, a homogeneous MoSe 2 layer is formed on top of the Mo layer.

Ostwald ripening in concentrated alloys
TL;DR: In this article, the authors derived the temporal power laws describing the coarsening process in a concentrated nonideal solid solution using a modified Gibbs-Thomson equation and the effects of non-ideal solution thermodynamics and nonzero solubilities of solute in each phase on the flux conservation condition at the interface.

Large cyclic magnetic-field-induced deformation in orthorhombic (14M) Ni–Mn–Ga martensite
TL;DR: The magnetic anisotropy constants were obtained from an analysis of the magnetomechanical properties of the Ni-Mn-Ga single crystal as mentioned in this paper, which was deformed in uniaxial compression along with an orthogonal magnetic field and without a magnetic field.
