Patent
Supported catalysts and a process for their preparation
Gerhardt Horn,Carl Dieter Dr. Dipl.-Chem. Frohning +1 more
- 09 Aug 1991
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a supported catalysts containing nickel, magnesium oxide and, if desired, further additives, which contain reduced Mg and Ni in a molar ratio of (0.0075 to 0.075):1.

Patent
Process for the preparation of catalyst compositions containing nickel, alumina, and zirconium dioxide and catalysts made therefrom
Carl Dieter Dr. Dipl.-Chem. Frohning,Gerhardt Horn +1 more
- 20 Mar 1989
TL;DR: In this article, a process for the preparation of a compound comprising precipitation from an aqueous solution of a mixture of nickel, aluminum, and zirconium salts by means of an annealing solution is described.

Patent
Hydrogenation catalyst, a process for its preparation and the use thereof
Gregor Dr. Deckers,Diekhaus Gerhard,Bernd Dr Dorsch,Carl Dieter Dr. Dipl.-Chem. Frohning,Gerhardt Horn,Burkhard Horrig +5 more
- 18 Mar 1994
TL;DR: In this paper, a hydrogenation catalyst consisting of nickel, nickel oxide, magnesium oxide, sodium oxide and a water-insoluble support material was proposed for the hydrogenation of propanal and n-butanal at temperatures between 100 and 160°C, with a surface area determined by BET from 80 to 200 m2/g and a total pore volume determined by Hg porosimetry from 0.35 to 0.6 ml/g.

One stage process for the preparation of alcohols
Gerhardt Horn,Carl Dieter Dr. Dipl.-Chem. Frohning +1 more
- 28 Dec 1992
TL;DR: A process for the preparation of alcohols by reaction of organic carbonyl compounds or mixtures containing them with hydrogen over a supported catalyst containing nickel, aluminum oxide, and zirconium dioxide at elevated temperature and, if appropriate, under elevated pressure is described in this article.
