Amino terminal sequences of the precursors of ovine caseins.
TL;DR: The amino terminal extensions of α s1, α s2 and β-caseins show a high degree of homology suggesting that they have derived from a common ancestor.

Structure primaire du caseinomacropeptide des caseines κ porcine et humaine
TL;DR: The amino acid sequence of porcine and human caseinomacropeptides (CMP), the C‐terminal glycopeptide released from κ‐casein by chymosin at the initial step of milk coagulation, have been investigated.

Enzymatic processing of precursors of ovine lactoproteins by mammary microsomal membranes and a deoxycholate-soluble extract from rough microsomes.
TL;DR: In order to investigate the mechanism of protein secretion in the lactating mammary gland, the primary structures of the 6 major lactoproteins synthesized in a cell free system were analysed.

Cell-free synthesis, proteolytic processing, core glycosylation, and amino terminal sequence of rabbit pre-α-lactalbumin
TL;DR: In this article, two different forms of alpha-lactalbumin were isolated from rabbit milk and partially characterized, and the major and minor species had apparent molecular weights of 18,000 and 14,000, respectively, according to their electrophoretic mobilities on SDS polyacrylamide gels.

Amino terminal sequence of porcine pre-β-lactoglobulin. Comparison with its ovine counterpart
TL;DR: Comparison of the amino terminal sequences of porcine and ovine pre-β-lactoglobulins revealed a high degree of homology in the signal peptide region, which suggests that the efficient transfer of that protein across the endoplasmic reticulum membrane requires the structural integrity of the transient amino terminal extension.
