To adapt to the present economic dynamics within the framework of the globalisation requires to explore the potentialities of the rural territorial systems and their actors. This necessity starts off of which the farmers as he bases of all agroproductive system locate schemes including. In this logic, the social capital plays a strategic role in the rural territory due to the relevance that has networking dynamics in its economic prosperity. In this sense, on the base of an ample revision of literature about the social capital and the analysis of two studies of case, purpose identify and examine the forms of social capital that settle down in the rural territorial systems; also to explore its possibilities of measurement. The study identifi ed and analyzed seven forms of associated social capital to the rural territorial systems, also balance sheet in its measurement. Finally, the analysis contributes elements that enrich the conceptual and scientifi c bases of the social capital.

El capital social en los sistemas territoriales rurales: avance para su identificación y medición

A case study is described in the Isle of Youth, whose objective was to develop a Local Productive Arrangement scheme as an efficient management method to improve the performance of the articulating agents. A methodology with adaptations was taken as a basis, among its components are described the barriers, Local Productive Arrangement scheme, the identification of innovations and the performance of the actors. Several techniques and instruments were used among them; interviews, surveys and brainstorming for the validation of results. As a result, a work tool is obtained where the articulation between local actors is positive in the current conditions, due to the methodological foundation and its implementation demonstrates favorable results in the agricultural sector as a key factor for the generation, generation, diffusion and use of the knowledge in the municipality.

Gestión eficiente desde un Arreglo Productivo Local: experiencia en el sector agropecuario

The purpose of this work is to study current inter-institutional relations in Local Productive Systems (SPL by its acronym in Spanish), paying special attention to the way that they are set up, their degree of internal consolidation, the local development dynamizing effects caused by them and they way in which they are influenced or not by global chains. In order to accomplish this, we use the productive system of Crespo and surrounding villages, located in the province of Entre Rios, Argentina. The methodology focuses on the quali-quantitative analysis of secondary information (statistics, census, surveys, among others) and qualitative analysis of primary information collected through in-depth interviews of qualified informants. The results stress the existence of an inter-institutional articulation experience grouping various public and private institutions located inside the territory, oriented towards the creation of short, medium and long-term management strategies to improve the city’s competitive level within a productive system network aiming at sustainable development

Finally, this paper seeks to be an initial guide and starting point to analyze social networks in a rural environment.

La presente investigacion se oriento a explorar la aplicabilidad de los metodos prospectivos para la promocion del desarrollo local. En este contexto se estudia el caso empirico de la produccion fruticola del Municipio La Ceiba del estado Trujillo, como actividad motriz para el mejoramiento de la actividad productiva y la calidad de vida de la poblacion. Los fundamentos teoricos y metodologicos se encuentran en la teoria del desarrollo local segun los enfoques propuestos por Alburquerque (1997), Vazquez (1999); Chiavenato (2000); y Fernandez, Avella y Fernandez (2003), asi como en el metodo prospectivo establecido por Godet (1993-1999). El principal resultado del trabajo fue la formulacion de un programa de desarrollo local para la municipalidad objeto de estudio que abarco tres dimensiones: social, economica e institucional
