TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the reading strategies of students with and without reading disabilities, and document the major metacognitive defi ciency of reading disabled students, finding that reading disabled learners have a significantly lower level of metacogniti ve awareness than the average readers and use mostly non-effective reading strategies.
