Futile inter-hospital transfer for mechanical thrombectomy in a semi-rural context: analysis of a 6-year prospective registry.
Denis Sablot,Adrian Dumitrana,Franck Leibinger,Khaled Khlifa,Bénédicte Fadat,Geoffroy Farouil,Thibaut Allou,Francis Coll,Julie Mas,Philippe Smadja,Adelaïde Ferraro-Allou,Isabelle Mourand,Anais Dutray,Maxime Tardieu,Snejana Jurici,Jean-Marie Bonnec,Nadège Olivier,Sandra Cardini,Frederique Damon,Laurène Van Damme,Sabine Aptel,Nicolas Gaillard,Ana-Maria Marquez,Ludovic Nguyen Them,Majo Ibanez,Caroline Arquizan,Vincent Costalat,Alain Bonafe +27 more
TL;DR: None of the baseline factors could predict FT, but the initial symptom severity was associated with FT caused by clinical worsening/infarct growth, and longer than expected inter-hospital transfer time could not be identified.

Target Door-to-Needle Time for Tissue Plasminogen Activator Treatment with Magnetic Resonance Imaging Screening Can Be Reduced to 45 min.
Denis Sablot,Ioana Ion,Khaled Khlifa,Geoffroy Farouil,Franck Leibinger,Nicolas Gaillard,Alexandre Laverdure,Zoubir Mourad Bensalah,Julie Mas,Bénédicte Fadat,Philippe Smadja,Adelaïde Ferraro-Allou,Jean-Marie Bonnec,Nadège Olivier,Anais Dutray,Maxime Tardieu,Adrian Dumitrana,Aymeric Guibal,Snejana Jurici,Jean-Louis Bertrand,Thibaut Allou,Caroline Arquizan,Alain Bonafe +22 more
TL;DR: A QI process can reduce the median door-to-needle (DTN) time for intravenous tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) treatment can be reduced to 45 min with MRI-based screening for acute ischaemic stroke (AIS).

Shortening time to reperfusion after transfer from a primary to a comprehensive stroke center.
Denis Sablot,Geoffroy Farouil,Alexandre Laverdure,Caroline Arquizan,A. Bonafé +4 more
- 01 Oct 2019
TL;DR: A QI process to streamline transfer from a primary stroke center to a comprehensive stroke center (CSC) could reduce the delay of reperfusion by mechanical thrombectomy but it could not demonstrate that it can improve the outcome of patients who undergo MT.

Complications During Inter-Hospital Transfer of Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke for Endovascular Therapy.
Denis Sablot,Franck Leibinger,Adrian Dumitrana,Nathalie Duchateau,Laurène Van Damme,Geoffroy Farouil,Nicolas Gaillard,Marlène Lachcar,Laurent Benayoun,Caroline Arquizan,Majo Ibanez,Francis Coll,Bénédicte Fadat,Ludovic Nguyen Them,Lucie Desmond,Thibaut Allou,Philippe Smadja,Adelaïde Ferraro-Allou,Isabelle Mourand,Anais Dutray,Celine Pujol,Maxime Tardieu,Snejana Jurici,Jean-Marie Bonnec,Nadège Olivier,Julie Mas,Vincent Costalat,Alain Bonafe +27 more
TL;DR: Only BA occlusion could predict complication during transfer, and was strongly associated with complications during the transport, in patients transferred to the CSC from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2018.

Which Patients Require Physician-Led Inter-Hospital Transport in View of Endovascular Therapy?
Franck Leibinger,Denis Sablot,Laurène Van Damme,Nicolas Gaillard,Ludovic Nguyen Them,Marlène Lachcar,Nathalie Duchateau,Caroline Arquizan,Geoffroy Farouil,Majo Ibanez,Celine Pujol,Bénédicte Fadat,Thibaut Allou,Francis Coll,Laurent Benayoun,Julie Mas,Philippe Smadja,Adelaïde Ferraro-Allou,Isabelle Mourand,Anais Dutray,Maxime Tardieu,Snejana Jurici,Jean-Marie Bonnec,Nadège Olivier,Sandra Cardini,Sabine Aptel,Ana-Maria Marquez,Adrian Dumitrana,Vincent Costalat,Alain Bonafe +29 more
TL;DR: Physician-led inter-hospital transports are warranted for patients with BA occlusion, initial NIHSS score >22, or history of atrial fibrillation, and for the other patients, transfer without a physician may be considered.
