Synthesis and characterization of highly amine functionalized mesoporous organosilicas by an “all-in-one” approach
TL;DR: In this paper, an all-in-one approach using silsesquioxane surfactant precursors for the functionalization of the channel walls with primary amine groups is presented.

TL;DR: In this paper, a carbon-metal catalysts having a substantial amount of catalytically active metal are prepared by vaporizing the metal under low vapor pressure conditions in the vicinity of an organic liquid solvent e.g. tetrahydrofuran, such that the metal dissolves in the solvent as a labile solvated zerovalent metal complex.

Optical Properties of Colloidal Photonic Crystals Confined in Rectangular Microchannels
TL;DR: In this article, the optical properties of planarized self-assembled colloidal photonic crystals confined within rectangular microchannels were analyzed using microspectroscopy, providing evidence that spherical colloids confined in micro-channels crystallize as single-domain colloidal crystal several hundreds of microns long with a very low concentration of intrinsic defects.
