Influence of aerosols pollution on the amount of collectable solar energy
Delia Calinoiu,Marius Paulescu,Ioana Ionel,Nicoleta Stefu,Nicolina Pop,Remus Boata,Angel Pacurar,Paul Mircea Gravila,Eugenia Paulescu,Gavrila Trif-Tordai +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a parametric clear sky solar irradiance model has been built and validated to estimate collectable solar energy losses in aerosol pollution events, and the energy loss in a pollution episode was evaluated as the difference between the clear sky sun irradiation computed in two situations: (1) using measured values for all inputs and (2) using all inputs excepting the Angstrom turbidity coefficient, for which a climatological reference value has been assumed.

The hybrid nanofluid/microchannel cooling solution for concentrated photovoltaic cells
Dorin Lelea,Delia Calinoiu,Gavrila Trif-Tordai,Adrian Eugen Cioabla,Ioan Laza,Francisc Popescu +5 more
- 19 Feb 2015
TL;DR: In this article, the cooling solution of the concentrated photovoltaic panel based on a microthermal device with impingement fluid jet and nanofluid as the working fluid is analyzed.
An experimental approach to the chemical properties and the ash melting behavior in agricultural biomass
TL;DR: In this article, an experimental approach to the chemical and physical properties of the agricultural biomass from the point of view of the use of the biodegradable materials as fuel in incinerators at small and large scales is presented.

Evaluation of errors made in solar irradiance estimation due to averaging the Angstrom turbidity coefficient
Delia-Gabriela Calinoiu,Nicoleta Stefu,Marius Paulescu,Gavrila Trif-Tordai,Oana Mares,Eugenia Paulescu,Remus Boata,Remus Boata,Nicolina Pop,Angel Pacurar +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the error made in estimating global solar irradiance by using an average value of the Angstrom turbidity coefficient instead of its current value and showed that the relative errors due to inadequate consideration of the turbidity coefficients may be very high, even exceeding 20%.

Analysis of Surface Water Quality and Sediments Content on Danube Basin in Djerdap-Iron Gate Protected Areas
Francisc Popescu,Milan Ž. Trumić,Adrian Eugen Cioabla,Bogdana Vujic,Virgil Stoica,Maja Trumic,Carmen Firu Opris,G.D. Bogdanović,Gavrila Trif-Tordai +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the surface water quality of the Danube as it passes through the Romania-Serbia border in the nature reservations Djerdap and Iron Gate.
