Ana Q. Neto,Ana Q. Neto,Sébastien Thomas,Gary Bond,Frédéric Thibault-Starzyk,Filipa Ribeiro,Carlos Henriques +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the transformation of an oil shale sample from the Autun Basin in the Massif Central, France, was studied using two different heating strategies: microwave irradiation and conventional heating.
Friedel-Crafts acylation reactions using heterogeneous catalysts stimulated by conventional and microwave heating
TL;DR: In this article, the acylation of anisole with decanoic acid over a range of solid-acid catalysts has been studied under conventional heating and microwave stimulation.

Reduction of MgO-supported iron oxide : formation and characterization of Fe/MgO catalysts
TL;DR: In this paper, the mean particle size of the supported metallic iron was determined by X-ray line-broadening and its surface area by CO chemisorption, and Mossbauer spectroscopy confirmed the presence of Fe o, Fe 2+ and Fe 3+ in the reduced material.

Development of a new instrument for performing microwave thermal analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the design and operation of a new thermal analysis instrument which uses microwaves to simultaneously heat and detect thermally induced transformations in samples with masses in the range of 50 mg to 0.5 g.
