Excisional treatment comparison for in situ endocervical adenocarcinoma (EXCISE): A phase 2 pilot randomized controlled trial to compare histopathological margin status, specimen size and fragmentation after loop electrosurgical excision procedure and cold knife cone biopsy.
Paul A. Cohen,Yee Leung,Yee Leung,Lyndal Anderson,Rachael van der Griend,Paola Chivers,Paola Chivers,Sanela Bilic,Sophie Bittinger,Alison Brand,Alison Brand,Max Bulsara,Jim Codde,Lois Eva,Lois Eva,Louise Farrell,Dianne Harker,Unine Herbst,Stephanie Jeffares,Diane Loh,Diane Loh,Orla McNally,Orla McNally,Ganendra Raj Mohan,Ganendra Raj Mohan,Tarryn Nicholson,Aime Powell,Stuart Salfinger,Bryony Simcock,Colin J.R. TL;DR: LEEP was not associated with a greater likelihood of positive margins, specimen fragmentation or smaller excision when performed according to a standardized protocol and a definitive phase 3 trial to compare margin status and rates of treatment failure after LEEP and CKC is warranted.

Do groin drains reduce postoperative morbidity in women undergoing inguino-femoral lymphadenectomy for vulvar cancer?
Jennifer Pontré,Julia Harding,P. Chivers,L. Loughlin,Yee Leung,Stuart Salfinger,J. Tan,Ganendra Raj Mohan,Paul A. Cohen +8 more
TL;DR: In this study of patients undergoing inguinofemoral dissection for primary vulvar cancer, postoperative cellulitis occurred less frequently in patients without an inguinal drain, and the incidence of other postoperative complications was no different whether or not a groin drain was used.

What Is the Value of Lymphadenectomy in Early Ovarian Cancer
Sven Mahner,Jacobus Pfisterer,Ganendra Raj Mohan,Michael A. Quinn +3 more
- 01 Jan 2014
TL;DR: A sizeable proportion of patients with seemingly early-stage ovarian cancer confined to the ovary will have their disease upstaged by lymphadenectomy, and this has obvious prognostic importance.
