High resolution electron microscopy of ion-irradiated GdBa2Cu3O7
TL;DR: GdBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 7} crystals were irradiated at room temperature with 200 keV Ne ions and 300 keV Xe ions and further HREM studies showed two types of extended defects: (i) mobile extended defects, which account for the preferential defect pinning to twin boundaries reported earlier; (ii) stable amorphous areas which are clearly identified by HREM observations.

On the origin of the modulated structure in Ca0.85CuO2: An electron microscopy study
TL;DR: In this paper, different electron microscopy techniques were used to investigate the modulated structure of the compound Ca 0.85 CuO 2, and the origin of the modulation is related to the calcium distribution within the CuO2 framework.

Electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction studies of rapidly quenched ZrNi and HfNi ribbons with about 90 at.% Ni
TL;DR: The structure of melt-spun ribbons of the alloys Zr 9 Ni 91, Zr 10 Ni 90 and Hf 11 Ni 89 was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Dynamical electron diffraction in substitutionally disordered column structures
TL;DR: In this article, a modified channelling theory is introduced which turns out to be very appropriate for the interpretation of these results, and the chemical composition of the material to statistical data of the HREM image.
