TL;DR: The Cluster HEritage project with XMM-Newton -Mass Assembly and Thermodynamics at the Endpoint of structure formation (CHEX-MATE) is a three-mega-second multi-year Heritage Programme to obtain X-ray observations of a minimally-biased, signal-to-noise-limited sample of 118 galaxy clusters detected by Planck through the Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect.
CHEERS: The chemical evolution RGS sample
J. de Plaa,Jelle Kaastra,Norbert Werner,Ciro Pinto,P. Kosec,Y. Y. Zhang,François Mernier,Lorenzo Lovisari,H. Akamatsu,G. Schellenberger,F. Hofmann,Thomas H. Reiprich,Alexis Finoguenov,J. Ahoranta,Jeremy S. Sanders,A. C. Fabian,O. R. Pols,Aurora Simionescu,Jacco Vink,Hans Boehringer +19 more
TL;DR: The CHEmical Enrichment RGS Sample (CHEERS) as mentioned in this paper is a sample of 44 bright local giant elliptical, groups and clusters of galaxies observed with XMM-Newton.
NGC 741 - Mergers and AGN feedback on galaxy group scale
G. Schellenberger,J. Vrtilek,L. P. David,Ewan O'Sullivan,Simona Giacintucci,Melanie Johnston-Hollitt,S. W. Duchesne,Somak Raychaudhury +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an analysis of recent deep Chandra and XMM-Newton integrations of NGC741, which provides an excellent example of a group with multiple concurrent phenomena: both an old central radio galaxy and a spectacular infalling head-tail source, strongly-bent jets, a 100kpc radio trail, intriguing narrow X-ray filaments, and gas sloshing features.
