Zuzak,Y. Hirooka,Robert W. Conn,T. Matsuda,H. G. Esser,J. Winter +37 more
TL;DR: In this paper, solid target boronization (STB) and TMB fuelling were used as fuelling gas during the plasma discharge to improve the volume averaged resistivity and radiated power.

Characterization of the Tokamak de Varennes ohmic plasma in equilibrium
A. Boileau,B.C. Gregory,G. Abel,C. Bélanger,C. Boucher,P. Couture,R. Décoste,E. Haddad,C. Janicki,J. Kalnavarns,J.-L. Lachambre,D. Lafrance,G. Le Clair,C.S. MacLatchy,G.W. Pacher,H. D. Pacher,G. Ratel,N. Richard,M. Saint-Onge,C. Simm,Barry L. Stansfield,Dennis Whyte,W. Zuzak,A. Rogister,G. Hasselberg +24 more
TL;DR: Experimental results obtained on the Tokamak de Varennes during a series of reproducible ohmic discharges are presented in this paper, where profiles of basic plasma parameters are constructed and compared with theore...

Impurities in TdeV with and without conditioning by trimethylboron/helium glow discharge
B. Terreault,C. Boucher,R. Décoste,H. G. Esser,B.C. Gregory,E. Haddad,C. Liu-Hinz,H.H. Mai,Guy G. Ross,A. Sarkissian,Barry L. Stansfield,D. Michaud,P. Brooker,A. Côté,D. Pinsonneault,B. Quirion,G. Ratel,N. Richard,D. Thériault +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, a glow discharge with 30% B(CH3)3 in He was applied in the TdeV tokamak and the lifetime of the conditioning effect was correlated with surface analysis of wall samples.

The effect of divertor plate biasing on impurity transport and levels in the central plasma of TdeV
E. Haddad,H.H. Mai,B.C. Gregory,Dennis Whyte,C. Janicki,G. Ratel,D. Lafrance,A. Côté,D. Michaud,A. Sarkissian +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the MIST impurity code was used to interpret line emissions in the VUV and soft X-ray emission, and the changes in the convection predicted by six different models were compared with the experimentally deduced convection, based on ion mobility, ion orbit losses, anomalous viscosity caused by turbulence, the skin size electromagnetic drift mode, neoclassical theory in the presence of turbulence and mobility related to E*B turbulent diffusivity.

Interpretation of the impurity distribution in the divertor during divertor plate biasing using the DIVIMP code
E. Haddad,F. Meo,Richard Marchand,G. Ratel,Barry L. Stansfield,J. P. Gunn,P.C. Stangeby,J.D. Elder,S. Lisgo,K. Krieger +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared 2D toroidal images of CII and CIII radiation near the external divertor plates in TdeV ohmic plasmas (I p =170 kA, n e =3 ǫ×10 19 m −3, B T =1.4 T ).
