Tomographic 2-D X-ray imaging of toroidal fusion plasma using a tangential pinhole camera with gas electron multiplier detector
Inwoo Song,Juhyeok Jang,Taemin Jeon,D. Pacella,G. Claps,G. Claps,F. Murtas,Seunghun Lee,Wonho Choe +8 more
TL;DR: A tangential X-ray pinhole camera based on a gas electron multiplier (GEM) detector was installed on KSTAR to study high temperature plasmas emitting Xray photons in the energy band of 4-15-keV as mentioned in this paper.

GEM-based detectors for thermal and fast neutrons
TL;DR: In this paper, a triple Gaseous detector (called nGEM) was developed for fast and thermal neutrons, respectively, for the CNESM diagnostic system of the SPIDER NBI prototype for ITER (RFX Consortium, Italy).

Development and characterization of a new soft x-ray diagnostic concept for tokamaks
A. Muraro,G. Claps,Gabriele Croci,Francesco Cordella,Giuseppe Gorini,Giovanni Grosso,Z. Hu,L. Mangiagalli,O. McCormack,F. Murtas,M. Nocente,E. Perelli Cippo,E. Panontin,M. Pedroni,Marica Rebai,D. Rigamonti,M. Tardocchi,D. Pacella +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, an enhanced X-ray Optimized Detector for Use in multiple Scenarios (EXODUS) is proposed to obtain energy resolved soft x-ray (SXR) emission profiles from the plasma with a high time resolution.

MBGEM: a stack of borated GEM detector for high efficiency thermal neutron detection
A. Muraro,A. Muraro,G. Claps,Gabriele Croci,Gabriele Croci,Chung-Chuan Lai,Chung-Chuan Lai,R. De Oliveira,S. Altieri,S. Cancelli,Giuseppe Gorini,Giuseppe Gorini,Richard Hall-Wilton,Richard Hall-Wilton,Carina Höglund,E. Perelli Cippo,L. Robinson,P.-O. Svensson,F. Murtas +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new position-sensitive thermal neutron detector based on boron-coated converters has been developed as an alternative to today's standard GHz-based technology for application to thermal neutron scattering.
The GEMpix detector as new soft X-rays diagnostic tool for laser produced plasmas.
G. Claps,D. Pacella,F. Murtas,Katarzyna Jakubowska,G. Boutoux,Frédéric Burgy,J. E. Ducret,Dimitri Batani +7 more
TL;DR: A measure of the soft-X-ray emission on the ECLIPSE laser facility realized with a new triple-GEM gas detector (GEMpix), which is a hybrid gas detector with a C-MOS front-end electronics based on Medipix chips and able to realize a 2D imaging of the X-rays emission from plasma with a signal proportional to the energy released in the gas of the detector active volume.
