Measurement of the BESSY II electron beam energy by Compton-backscattering of laser photons
TL;DR: In this article, the electron beam energy at BESSY II was measured by two independent techniques: the photons from a CO2-laser are scattered in a head-on collision with the stored electrons, and from the spectrum of the backscattered photons that are detected by an energy-calibrated HPGe detector, the energy can be determined.

New PTB beamlines for high-accuracy EUV reflectometry at BESSY II
Frank Scholze,Burkhard Beckhoff,G. Brandt,R. Fliegauf,Roman Klein,Bernd Meyer,D. Rost,Detlef Schmitz,M. Veldkamp,Jan Weser,Gerhard Ulm,Eric Louis,Andrey E. Yakshin,Sebastian Oestreich,Fred Bijkerk +14 more
- 08 Nov 2000
TL;DR: In this paper, the beamline characteristics of the beamlines are presented and the results of beamline characterization on photon flux, spectral resolution, spectral purity and beam stability with special respect to the EUV photon energy range.

High-accuracy detector calibration for EUV metrology at PTB
Frank Scholze,G. Brandt,Peter Mueller,Bernd Meyer,Frank Scholz,Johannes Tuemmler,Katrin Vogel,Gerhard Ulm +7 more
- 05 Jul 2002
TL;DR: In this article, the long-term stability of AXUV photodiodes is investigated in the EUV spectral range with a relative uncertainty of about 0.3 percent, which is lower than the results achieved elsewhere by more than one order of magnitude.

The Metrology Light Source – The new dedicated electron storage ring of PTB ☆
G. Brandt,J. Eden,R. Fliegauf,Alexander Gottwald,Arne Hoehl,Roman Klein,Ralph Müller,Mathias Richter,Frank Scholze,Reiner Thornagel,Gerhard Ulm,K. Burkmann,Jeffrey T. Rahn,Godehard Wüstefeld +13 more
TL;DR: The Metrology Light Source (MLS) as discussed by the authors is a low-energy electron storage ring in the close vicinity of BESSY II where PTB operates a laboratory for synchrotron-radiation-based metrology, mainly in the X-ray spectral region.

New PTB reflectometer for the characterization of large optics for the extreme-ultraviolet spectral region
Johannes Tuemmler,Frank Scholze,G. Brandt,Bernd Meyer,Frank Scholz,Katrin Vogel,Gerhard Ulm,Michael Poier,Udo Klein,Wolfgang Diete +9 more
- 05 Jul 2002
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a detailed description of the new reflectometer for large EUV optics and discuss the uncertainties to be achieved for reflectance measurements, and discuss uncertainties for the analysis of very large optical components.
