Weissteiner,Luca Ziliani +33 more
TL;DR: A multi-scale, hierarchical framework for developing process-based understanding of catchment to reach hydromorphology that can aid design and delivery of sustainable river management solutions is presented in this article.
Development of a GIS Based Procedure (BIGBANG 1.0) for Evaluating Groundwater Balances at National Scale and Comparison with Groundwater Resources Evaluation at Local Scale
G. Braca,Daniela Ducci +1 more
- 01 Jan 2018
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a GIS-based procedure (BIGBANG 1.0) for evaluating all the factors of the monthly groundwater balance at National scale, using Python programming language.

The Nationwide Water Budget Estimation in the light of the New Permeability Map of Italy
G. Braca,M. Bussettini,Rossella Maria Gafà,Gennaro Maria Monti,Lucio Martarelli,Angelantonio Silvi,Francesco La Vigna +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a comparison highlighting the differences between the estimations of the long-term annual average of two of the main hydrological budget components, aquifer recharge and surface runoff, at national and sub-national levels, is carried out.
Evaluation of national and regional groundwater resources under climate change scenarios using a GIS-based water budget procedure
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the impact of climate change on the availability of groundwater resources in Italy and in Campania region (Southern Italy) by evaluating a 20-year average from 1996 to 2015 of annual water budget components (namely total precipitation, actual evapotranspiration, surface runoff and aquifer recharge) over a 1-km resolution grid.
