TL;DR: The results indicate that endogenous cholesterol in pancreatic beta-cells plays a critical role in regulating insulin secretion and chronic inhibition of cholesterol biosynthesis regulates the functional activity of CaV channels and insulin secretory granule mobilization and membrane fusion.
