TL;DR: Fault identification for a class of multiple time-delay systems with unknown input based on a class adaptive observer is investigated and both of the states and faults of the time- delay systems can be identified by such adaptive observers.

TL;DR: Based on H∞ theory and state-observer theory, a method of designing controllers for time-delay systems with sensor failures is presented in this article, where the controller designed by the proposed method can guarantee the stability of the resultant closed-loop systems and keep certain H ∞ norm performance in the normal condition as well as in the event of sensor failures.
