Renal vasoconstriction by the endothelial cell-derived peptide endothelin in spontaneously hypertensive rats.
Yasunobu Hirata,Hiroaki Matsuoka,Kenjiro Kimura,Fukui K,Hiroshi Hayakawa,Etsu Suzuki,Tokuichiro Sugimoto,Masashi Yanagisawa,Tomoh Masaki +8 more
TL;DR: The effects of endothelin on systemic and renal hemodynamics in anesthetized spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) and Wistar-Kyoto rats were examined and it was revealed thatendothelin mainly constricted the arcuate and interlobular arteries, as well as afferent arterioles.

Hormonal and renal effects of atrial natriuretic peptide in patients with secondary hypertension.
Yasunobu Hirata,Masaru Ishii,Tokuichiro Sugimoto,Hiroaki Matsuoka,Fukui K,Minoru Yamakado,H Tagawa,Atsuro Miyata,Kenji Kangawa +8 more
TL;DR: The removal of adenomas in the patients with primary aldosteronism significantly lowered both plasma levels of ANP and cyclic guanosine 2',3'-monophosphate and reduced an increase in sodium excretion duringANP infusion, whereas the responses of blood pressure and plasma aldosterone to ANP infusion were not altered by the operation.

Effect of α-Human Atrial Natriuretic Peptide on Proteinuria in Patients with Primary Glomerular Diseases
Masao Ishii,Yasunobu Hirata,Tokuichiro Sugimoto,Hiroaki Matsuoka,Kenjiro Kimura,Toshihiko Ishimitsu,Fukui K,Tsuneaki Sugimoto,Yuko Kurosawa,Hiroshi Kiyose,Kenji Kangawa,Hisayuki Matsuo +11 more
TL;DR: The plasma concentration of immunoreactive alpha-hANP was significantly higher in the patients with glomerulonephritis than in the normal subjects and it showed a positive correlation with mean arterial pressure and a negative correlation with creatinine clearance.

Renal effects of atrial natriuretic peptide during dopamine infusion.
Yasunobu Hirata,Fukui K,Hiroshi Hayakawa,Etsu Suzuki Tokuichiro Sugimoto,Kenjiro Kimura,Hiroaki Matsuoka,Tsuneaki Sugimoto +6 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the effects of ANP and dopamine on both GFR and UNaV were additive, however, in contrast with dopamine, ANP increased efferent resistance and nephrogenous cGMP, suggesting that the renal effects of AnP are different from those of dopamine.

A comparative study on the hemodynamic, renal and endocrine effects of alpha-human atrial natriuretic polypeptide in normotensive persons and patients with essential hypertension.
