The method includes manually depositing, using a non-magnetic cosmetic applicator, at least a first cosmetic composition in the fluid state on the surface, the first composition containing magnetic particles that are movable under the effect of a magnetic field; and manually exposing at least part of the first composition to a magnetic device producing a magnetic field, the magnetic device located above the first composition so as to orientate and/or displace at least a fraction of the magnetic particles so as to form at least one pattern according to magnetic field lines of the magnetic field without making contact with the first composition.

PURPOSE:To perform the improvement in the surface characteristics of various powders, by substantially perfectly covering a nuclear powder with an outer wall powder having an average particle size 1/5 or less that of said nuclear powder. CONSTITUTION:An arbitrary org. or inorg. powder is dubjected to compressive mixing as a nuclear powder and an outer wall powder by using an arbitrary such as a rotary ball mill to prepare a composite powder. Ball shaped mixing medii have a diameter of 2-5 mm and is pref. used in an amount of 300-700 pts. wt. per 100 pts. wt. of the total powder. By using mixing medii having a small average particle size, grinding effect is suppressed and the number of contact times are increased and a composite powder, wherein the nuclear powder is substantially perfectly covered with the outer wall powder, is obtained. The improvement in the surface characteristics of various powders is performed by covering a nylon 12 spherical powder (diameter ; 6.6mum) with titanium dioxide (diameter ; 0.2mum) to obtain a composite powder having good sliding property and high hiding power or covering a hydrophylic nuclear powder with a hydrophobic outer wall powder to make the same hydrophobic or performing a process reverse thereto.
