Investigation of the interaction between lighting and mixing applied during the photo-fermentation biohydrogen production process from agricultural waste.
TL;DR: To better clarify the effect of lighting and mixing on the hydrogen production from agricultural waste, experiments under diverse constant and dynamic light intensities and mixing speeds were conducted and results showed that mixing had positive effects on high substrate concentration.

Role of surfactant in affecting photo-fermentative bio-hydrogen production performance from corncob.
TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of high-solid photo-fermentative bio-hydrogen production system with bio-surfactant addition was evaluated in the presence of Rhamnolipids (RLs) and Tea Saponin (TSn) addition.

Photo-fermentative biohydrogen production from corncob treated by microwave irradiation.
Zhiping Zhang,Xiaoni Fan,Yameng Li,Peng Jin,Yinggang Jiao,Fuke Ai,Haorui Zhang,Quanguo Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of microwave irradiation (MI) on photo-fermentative bio-hydrogen production (PFHP) process was evaluated in Diverse conditions (irradiation time, microwave power, and surfactant addition) were applied.

Pretreatment of corn stover by torrefaction for improving reducing sugar and biohydrogen production.
TL;DR: In this article , the authors used torrefaction pretreatment to enhance the enzymatic saccharification and hydrogen production potential of corn stover and found that the reduced sugar yield and hydrogen yield from corn stovers were improved significantly through torrefactional pretreatment.

Surfactant assisted microwave irradiation pretreatment of corncob: Effect on hydrogen production capacity, energy consumption and physiochemical structure.
X. Fan,Yameng Li,Zhong-hua Luo,Yinggang Jiao,Fuke Ai,Haorui Zhang,Shengnan Zhu,Quanguo Zhang,Zhiqing Zhang +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the synergistic effects of microwave irradiation and surfactants on the hydrogen production performance, energy analysis and structural characteristics was evaluated, and it was shown that hydrogen performance was improved after microwave irradiated pretreatment (MIP) and a combination of surfactant assisted microwaved irradiation (SMIP) pretreatment.
