An FFT‐based Galerkin method for the effective permeability of porous material
TL;DR: In this article , a numerical scheme which is a combination of FFT and Galerkin methods is proposed for calculating the effective permeability of periodic porous material, where a periodic stress field whose divergence is equal to the subtraction of body force from prescribed pressure gradient is introduced to reformulate the governing equations.

TL;DR: A spherical harmonic based discrete element method simulates rockfall trajectories, capturing rock shape effects and terrain influences, with results showing shape-dependent motion patterns and terrain's significant impact on rockfall paths.

Damage detection in cementitious materials with optimized absolute electrical resistance tomography
TL;DR: In this paper , an optimized inverse algorithm, named Newton's Constrained Reconstruction Method (NCRM), was proposed to detect damage in cementitious materials, where the range and spatial distribution of conductivities within the sample were chosen as two main constraints.
