TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the validity of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis in Turkey between the years of 1960 and 2010 and stated that the EKC hypothesis is valid for Turkey and especially energy consumption (EC), financial development (FD), and openness (OP) have an increasing effect on CO2 emission.
