To study the operational behaviour of λ-terms, we will use the denotational (mathematical) approach. A denotational semantics for a language is based on the choice of a space of semantics values, or denotations, where terms are to be interpreted. Choosing a space with nice mathematical properties can help in proving the semantic properties of terms, since to this aim standard mathematical techniques can be used.

The Internet has become the first source of consumer health information. Most theoretical and empirical studies are centered on information needs and seeking, rather than on information outcomes. This review's purpose is to explore and explain health outcomes of Online Consumer Health Information (OCHI) in primary care. A participatory systematic mixed studies review with a framework synthesis was undertaken. Starting from an initial conceptual framework, our specific objectives were to (a) identify types of OCHI outcomes in primary care, (b) identify factors associated with these outcomes, and (c) integrate these factors and outcomes into a comprehensive revised framework combining an information theory and a psychosocial theory of behavior. The results of 65 included studies were synthesized using a qualitative thematic data analysis. The themes derived from the literature underwent a harmonization process that produced a comprehensive typology of OCHI outcomes. The revised conceptual framework specifies four individual and one organizational level of OCHI outcomes, while including factors such as consumers' information needs and four interdependent contextual factors. It contributes to theoretical knowledge about OCHI health outcomes, and informs future research, information assessment methods, and tools to help consumers find and use health information.

Health outcomes of online consumer health information: A systematic mixed studies review with framework synthesis.

This chapter examines the multidimensional representation of specialized concepts and concept systems within the context of new theories of simulated cognition and culture-bound terminology. According to the premises of Frame-based Terminology (Faber et al. 2005; Faber et al. 2006; Faber et al. 2007), conceptualization is regarded as a dynamic process that is modulated by human perception. In addition, conceptual categories previously thought to be universal (e.g. natural geographic entities), are also shown to be constrained by cultural perceptions. Contextual information related to situational simulation and culture is thus used to configure specialized domains on the basis of definitional templates and situated representations for specialized knowledge concepts. Dynamicity is the condition of being in motion, and thus, is characterized by continuous change, activity, or progress. In recent years, a number of publications on Terminology have focused on the dynamicity of specialized knowledge understanding. This is only natural since dynamicity is acknowledged to be an important part of any kind of knowledge representation system or knowledge acquisition scenario. However, an in-depth study is needed of the dynamicity of conceptualization, and how the nature of human perception and cultural cogni-tion influences the representation of concept systems and terms in specialized knowledge contexts. Terminology in everyday life

Making audiovisual educational material accessible for non-native speakers and people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing is an ongoing challenge and the state-of-the-art in this field shows that no current software provides a fully automatic, high-quality solution. This article presents Miro Translate, a hybrid intralinguistic subtitling tool developed in response to this challenge by the Miro Programme at the University of Perpignan Via Domitia. This cloud-based solution integrates the automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology provided by the Microsoft Translator Speech API to generate automatic captions. It also incorporates a set of editing functionalities to provide a readable and legible target output that complies with subtitling conventions. In conclusion, the aim of Miro Translate is to produce a costefficient solution that meets the increasing demand for high quality captions in instructional video.
