Caracterización de carbón activado sintetizado a baja temperatura a partir de cáscara de cacao (Theobroma cacao) para la adsorción de amoxicilina
Candelaria Tejada,Diego Almanza,Ángel Villabona,Fredy Colpas,Clemente Granados +4 more
- 15 Sep 2017
TL;DR: In this article, the authors synthesize and characterize activated carbon obtained at low temperature from cocoa peel (Theobroma cacao), modified with zinc chloride (ZnCl2) for its subsequent use in the removal of amoxicillin.
A simple thermodynamic model for the solubility of thermolabile solids in supercritical fluids
TL;DR: In this article, an equation-of-state (EoS) scheme to correlate the solubility of solids in supercritical fluids is presented, where the solute fugacity coefficient is obtained using the pure-solvent compressibility factor, and empirical solute-to-solsv parameter ratios of cohesion factors and covolumes.

Analisis del desarrollo textural de carbones activados preparados a partir de zuro de maíz
Fredy Colpas,Arnulfo Tarón,Waldyr Fong +2 more
- 24 Jun 2015
TL;DR: In this paper, a final analysis for determining the surface area of corn kernels was conducted using the BET method using Micromeritics Gemini 2375 and showed that most of the developed area corresponded to micropores.
Aprovechamiento de residuos maderosos para la obtencion de resinas de intercambio iónico
Jaider E Nuñez,Fredy Colpas,Arnulfo Tarón +2 more
- 17 May 2017
TL;DR: In this article, a process for the use of agroindustrial residues of wood to obtain ion exchange resins from forest wood residues to measure the absorption capacity of Pb2+ was proposed.
