Prophylactic Cranial Irradiation Versus Observation in Radically Treated Stage III Non–Small-Cell Lung Cancer: A Randomized Phase III NVALT-11/DLCRG-02 Study
Dirk De Ruysscher,Dirk De Ruysscher,Anne-Marie C. Dingemans,J. Praag,José Belderbos,C. Tissing-Tan,Judith Herder,Tjeerd Haitjema,Fred Ubbels,Frank J. Lagerwaard,Sherif Y. El Sharouni,Jos A. Stigt,Egbert F. Smit,Harm van Tinteren,Vincent van der Noort,Harry J.M. Groen +15 more
TL;DR: PCI significantly decreased the proportion of patients who developed symptomatic brain metastases with an increase of low-grade toxicity and quality of life was only decreased 3 months post-PCI and was similar to the observation arm thereafter.
Quality assurance and safety of hippocampal avoidance prophylactic cranial irradiation in the multicenter randomized phase III trial (NCT01780675)

TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the quality of the irradiation given in the randomized controlled trial (RCT) comparing SCLC patients receiving PCI with or without hippocampal avoidance, using intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) or volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT).

TL;DR: This single-arm phase II study (STRONG II) investigates the efficacy of adding stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) to chemotherapy in unresectable perihilar cholangiocarcinoma patients, building on the feasibility and safety demonstrated in the STRONG I trial.
