Efficient well-balanced hydrostatic upwind schemes for shallow-water equations
TL;DR: The main objective is to introduce an easy and systematic technique to enforce the well-balance property and to make the scheme able to deal with dry areas and to obtain an easy well-balanced scheme which preserves non-negative water height.
Quadratic spline quasi-interpolants and collocation methods
TL;DR: Univariate and multivariate quadratic spline quasi-interpolants provide interesting approximation formulas for derivatives of approximated functions that can be very accurate at some points thanks to the superconvergence properties of these operators.
A Very Easy High-Order Well-Balanced Reconstruction for Hyperbolic Systems with Source Terms
TL;DR: In this paper , a well-balanced correction to high-order finite volume methods is proposed to avoid the inversion of the nonlinear function that governs the steady solutions, which can be applied to any scheme of order greater than or equal to 2, such as a MUSCL-type scheme, and ensures that this scheme exactly preserves the steady solution.
