Enhancement of electrical conductivity of composite structures by integration of carbon nanotubes via bulk resin and/or buckypaper films
Idoia Gaztelumendi,Maialen Chapartegui,Richard Seddon,Sonia Florez,François Pons,Jacques Cinquin +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, two approaches for the incorporation of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites, through the addition of the CNTs in the bulk resin and by the adding of CNT-based buckypaper (BP) in the CFRP structure, were described.
The effect of twin screw extrusion on structural, electrical, and rheological properties in carbon nanotube poly-ether-ether-ketone nanocomposites
Matthieu Guehenec,Victoria Tishkova,Sylvie Dagréou,Frédéric Léonardi,Christophe Derail,Pascal Puech,François Pons,Benedicte Gauthier,Pierre-Henri Cadaux,Wolfgang Bacsa +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of twin screw extruder dispersion of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) on the structural, electrical, and rheological properties in poly(ether ether ketone) is studied.

Numerical modeling support for the understanding of current distribution in carbon fibers composites
Alexandre Piche,Ivan Revel,Gilles Peres,François Pons,Benjamin Lazorthes,Benedicte Gauthier,Pierre-Henri Cadaux +6 more
- 11 Jun 2009
TL;DR: In this article, an original wired approach for modeling current distribution in a composite structure, in a frequency range comprised between the continuous up to few tens of MHz, is presented. But this approach is not suitable for modeling large composite structures as their electrical conductivities are significantly lower than those of metals.

Origin of mechanical modifications in poly (ether ether ketone)/carbon nanotube composite
Ekaterina Pavlenko,François Boyer,Pascal Puech,Philippe Olivier,Andrei V. Sapelkin,Stephen M. King,Richard K. Heenan,François Pons,Benedicte Gauthier,Pierre-Henri Cadaux,Wolfgang Bacsa +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the histogram of the Raman D band across the image provides information about the amount of MWCNTs and the dispersion of carbon nanotubes in the composite.
Mechanical and electrical behavior of a PEEK/carbon nanotubes composite
François Boyer,Philippe Olivier,François Pons,Pierre-Henri Cadaux +3 more
- 01 Jan 2012
TL;DR: In this paper, the main aim of the INMAT project is to produce carbon fibers/PEEK laminates with enhanced electrical properties by integrating MWCNT without using any compatibilizers.
