Gene transfer in humans using a conditionally replicating lentiviral vector
Bruce L. Levine,Laurent Humeau,Jean D. Boyer,Rob-Roy MacGregor,Tessio Rebello,Xiaobin Lu,Gwendolyn K. Binder,Vladimir Slepushkin,Franck Lemiale,John R. Mascola,Frederic D. Bushman,Boro Dropulic,Carl H. June +12 more
TL;DR: Lentiviral vectors appear promising for gene transfer to humans and there is no evidence for insertional mutagenesis after 21–36 months of observation.
1112. Design and Implementation of VRX496 Phase II Cell Processing for cGMP Production of Multiple Doses of Lentivirally Transduced Autologous HIV Infected CD4+ T Lymphocytes
Laurent Humeau,Reuben Cohen,Tony Encinas,Yelena Skripchenko,Franck Lemiale,Kris Andre,Arvind Chopra,Tessio Rebello,Vladimir Slepushkin +8 more
TL;DR: Preliminary results suggest multiple infusions are safe, with no changes in hematology or chemistry laboratory evaluations, and no detection of VSV-G DNA or RCL.

Transduction and Expansion of HIV+ CD4 T Cells with an HIV-1 Based Lentiviral Vector and Immobilized CD3/CD28 Antibodies Maintains the Diversity of the TCR Vβ Repertoire.
TL;DR: The transduction/expansion of CD4+ T cells from a patient with a previously skewed TCR profile allowed the improvement of the TCR Vβ repertoire, and no significant difference was observed in the repertoire of cells transduced with VRX496 versus mock-transduced cells.

Safety and immunogenicity of a thermostable ID93 + GLA-SE tuberculosis vaccine candidate in healthy adults
Zachary K. Sagawa,Cristina Goman,Aude Frevol,Azra Blazevic,Janice M. Tennant,Bridget S. Fisher,Tracey A. Day,Stephen Jackson,Franck Lemiale,Leon Toussaint,Irene Kalisz,Joe Jiang,Lisa Ondrejcek,Raodoh Mohamath,Julie Vergara,Alan Lew,Anna Marie Beckmann,Corey Casper,Daniel F. Hoft,Christopher Cox +19 more
TL;DR: A randomized, double-blinded Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT03722472) evaluating the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of a thermostable lyophilized single-vial presentation of the ID93 + GLA-SE vaccine candidate compared to the non-thermostable two-Vial vaccine presentation in healthy adults is presented in this article .
