Evolution of Hair Treatment and Care: Prospects of Nanotube-Based Formulations
Ana Cláudia Santos,Abhishek Panchal,Naureen Rahman,Miguel Pereira-Silva,Irina Pereira,Francisco Veiga,Yuri Lvov,Yuri Lvov +7 more
TL;DR: A new approach for hair treatment through coating with nanotubes loaded with drugs or dyes for coloring is suggested, produced by nanotube self-assembly, resulting in stable 2–3 µm thick layers.

Starch-based coatings for colon-specific drug delivery. Part I: the influence of heat treatment on the physico-chemical properties of high amylose maize starches.
TL;DR: The retrograded starches were found to be less digestible by various types of amylase, in particular those found in the upper intestines, indicating that the formation of a butanol complex as claimed elsewhere is not essential in the preparation of colon delivery devices.

Biomedical potential of clay nanotube formulations and their toxicity assessment.
TL;DR: This work describes the application of HNTs as a viable method for clinical purposes, particularly developing formulations for prophylaxis, diagnosis and therapeutics, having a special attention to these nanotubes bio-safety.

In vitro evaluation of natural and methylated cyclodextrins as buccal permeation enhancing system for omeprazole delivery.
TL;DR: Results show that complexation with cyclodextrins increases drug stability at neutral conditions; furthermore, L-arginine contributed to higher drug stability.

The Impact of Local and National Economic Conditions on Legislative Election Results
TL;DR: In this article, the impact of national and local economic conditions on legislative electoral outcomes over the period from the reestablishment of democracy in 1974 to the present was estimated using data for 278 Portuguese mainland municipalities.
