A Single Center Study of 1,179 Heart Transplant Patients—Factors Affecting Pacemaker Implantation
TL;DR: Clinical predictors for pacemaker requirement as well as differences in the patient groups developing SND and AVB are identified.

Autologous endothelialized vein allografts in coronary artery bypass surgery - Long term results.
TL;DR: The authors' small diameter tissue engineered vascular graft shows openness up to 32 months after implantation, and immunohistochemistry suggests that monocyte activation may lead to vessel remodeling with thickening of the vessel wall.

Sinus node dysfunction after heart transplantation-An analysis of risk factors and atrial pacing burden.
Florian E. M. Herrmann,Petra Wellmann,Sebastian Sadoni,René Schramm,Christian Hagl,Gerd Juchem +5 more
TL;DR: This work investigated the development of sinus node dysfunction requiring pacemaker implantation after heart transplant (HTx) especially regarding pacing burden in these patients.

The standing of percutaneous pulmonary valve implantation compared to surgery in a non-preselected cohort with dysfunctional right ventricular outflow tract – Reasons for failure and contraindications
Nikolaus A. Haas,Radka Vcasna,Kai Thorsten Laser,Ute Blanz,Florian E. M. Herrmann,André Jakob,Marcus Fischer,Majed Kanaan,Anja Lehner +8 more
TL;DR: An enlarged RVOT, small patient size, and coronary compression were the major obstacles for interventional management and PPVI could be performed successfully in 80/382 patients (20.9%).

Edwards Sapien 3 transcatheter aortic valve implantation for management of severe aortic regurgitation in a teenage patient with corrected atrioventricular septal defect and progressive left ventricular dysfunction.
TL;DR: A case of a teenage patient presenting with progressive aortic regurgitation and deterioration of left ventricular function after multiple surgical procedures for an atrioventricular septal defect (AVSD) is reported, and a transcatheter aortsic valve implantation using a balloon‐expandable Sapien 3 prosthesis is performed.
