Biotransformation of Tryptamine to Serotonin by Cell Suspension Cultures of Peganum harmala.
TL;DR: Cell suspension cultures of P. HARMALA, unable to form serotonin DE-NOVO, hydroxylated fed tryptamine to serotonin independently of the growth cycle up to 20 mg per g dry mass per day and a maximum yield of 800 mg serotonin/l was achieved.

Cyrmenins, Novel Antifungal Peptides Containing a Nitrogen‐Linked β‐Methoxyacrylate Pharmacophore: Isolation and Structural Elucidation
TL;DR: In this paper, the antifungal metabolites cyrmenin A, B1, and B2 (1−3) were isolated from Archangium gephyra and Cystobacter armeniaca strains (myxobacteria).

Archazolid-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside – Isolation, Structural Elucidation and Solution Conformation of a Novel V-ATPase Inhibitor from the Myxobacterium Cystobacter violaceus
TL;DR: In this article, a polyketide macrolide archazolid-7-O-β-Dglucopyranoside (3) was isolated from the myxobacterium Cystobacter violaceus and its structure was determined by spectroscopic and degradative methods.

The first cyclic monomeric 3-alkylpyridinium alkaloid from natural sources: identification, synthesis, and biological activity
TL;DR: This work reports on the identification and synthesis of the first cyclic monomeric 3-alkylpyridinium alkaloid from natural sources and structure elucidation had to rely on HPLC and MS(n).

Isolation, Biological Activity Evaluation, Structure Elucidation, and Total Synthesis of Eliamid: A Novel Complex I Inhibitor
Gerhard Höfle,Klaus Gerth,Hans Reichenbach,Brigitte Kunze,Florenz Sasse,Edgar Forche,Evgeny V. Prusov +6 more
TL;DR: Eliamid is a secondary metabolite isolated from two bacterial strains that features a linear polyketide backbone terminated by a tetramic acid amide moiety and shows a high and specific cytostatic action on human lymphoma and cervix carcinoma cell lines.
