Disequilibrium of BMP2 levels in the breast stem cell niche launches epithelial transformation by overamplifying BMPR1B cell response.
Marion Chapellier,Elodie Bachelard-Cascales,Xenia Schmidt,Flora Clément,Isabelle Treilleux,Emmanuel Delay,Alexandre Jammot,Christine Ménétrier-Caux,Gaëtan Pochon,Roger Besançon,Thibault Voeltzel,Claude Caron de Fromentel,Christophe Caux,Jean-Yves Blay,Richard Iggo,Véronique Maguer-Satta +15 more
TL;DR: A role for BMP2 and the breast microenvironment in the initiation of stem cell transformation is revealed, thus providing insight into the etiology of luminal breast cancer.

Stem cell manipulation, gene therapy and the risk of cancer stem cell emergence.
Flora Clément,Elodie Grockowiak,Florence Zylbersztejn,Gaelle Fossard,Stéphanie Gobert,Véronique Maguer-Satta +5 more
TL;DR: The use of HSCs to provide new perspectives in the field of regenerative and curative medicine and the potential use of various SCs from embryonic to adult stem cells (ASCs), including induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSCs) as well as MSCs are reviewed.
[Generating pancreatic islets organoids: Langerhanoids].
A Papoz,Flora Clément,Camille Laporte,Emily Tubbs,Xavier Gidrol,Amandine Pitaval +5 more
- 01 Jan 2022
TL;DR: Recent advances to mimic the pancreatic niche (extracellular matrix, vascularization, microfluidics) allowing better functionality of Langerhanoids are described.

P056 Local nanocarrier delivery of JAK1 siRNA for IBD treatment: an in vivo mouse model
A. Garrido Trigo,Marisol Veny,Isabella Dotti,Miriam Esteller,Eric Sulpice,Dorothée Jary,Flora Clément,Xavier Gidrol,Fabrice Navarro,A. Salas +9 more
TL;DR: Results show that despite effectively reducing JAK1 mRNA expression, siJAK1 administration does not ameliorate colitis in a DSS mice model, but it is shown that a locally delivered siTNF-nanocomplex has the capacity to improve clinical, macroscopic and histological symptoms as well as fecal biomarkers in DSS colitic mice.
Long-term exposure to bisphenol A or benzo(a)pyrene alters the fate of human mammary epithelial stem cells in response to BMP2 and BMP4, by pre-activating BMP signaling.
Flora Clément,Xinyi Xu,Caterina F Donini,Alice Clement,Soleilmane Omarjee,Emmanuel Delay,Isabelle Treilleux,Béatrice Fervers,Muriel Le Romancer,Pascale A. Cohen,Véronique Maguer-Satta +10 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that chronic exposure to low doses of bisphenol A or benzo( a)pyrene (B(a)P) alone has little effect on SCs properties of MCF10A cells, and that BPA prevents the maintenance of SC features prompted by BMP4, whereas promoting cell differentiation towards a myoepithelial phenotype is prevented.
