MicroRNA miR-24-3p promotes porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus replication through suppression of heme oxygenase-1 expression.
Shuqi Xiao,Xue Wang,Huaibao Ni,Na Li,Angke Zhang,Hongliang Liu,Fengxing Pu,Lele Xu,Jiming Gao,Qin Zhao,Yang Mu,Chengbao Wang,Yani Sun,Taofeng Du,Xingang Xu,Gaiping Zhang,Julian A. Hiscox,Ian Goodfellow,En-Min Zhou +18 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that miR-24-3p promotes PRRSV replication through suppression of HO-1 expression, which not only provides new insights into virus-host interactions during PR RSV infection but also suggests potential new antiviral strategies againstPRRSV infection.

Carbon Monoxide Inhibits Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus Replication by the Cyclic GMP/Protein Kinase G and NF-κB Signaling Pathway.
Angke Zhang,Lijuan Zhao,Na Li,Hong Duan,Hongliang Liu,Fengxing Pu,Gaiping Zhang,Gaiping Zhang,En-Min Zhou,Shuqi Xiao +9 more
TL;DR: The present study demonstrates that CO exerts its anti-PRRSV effect by activating the cellular cGMP/PKG signaling pathway and by negatively regulating cellular NF-κB signaling and suggest potential new control measures for future PRRSV outbreaks.

Heme Oxygenase-1 Suppresses Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus Replication in vitro
Chong Zhang,Fengxing Pu,Angke Zhang,Lele Xu,Na Li,Yunhuan Yan,Jiming Gao,Hongliang Liu,Gaiping Zhang,Gaiping Zhang,Ian Goodfellow,En-Min Zhou,Shuqi Xiao +12 more
TL;DR: In vitro analysis of HO-1 expression in BVDV-infected MDBK cells demonstrated that a decrease inHO-1 was demonstrated as BVD V replication increased, and suggested that induction of HO -1 may be a useful prevention and treatment strategy against BVDv infection.
Carbon monoxide and biliverdin suppress bovine viral diarrhoea virus replication
Zhiqian Ma,Fengxing Pu,Xiaobin Zhang,Yunhuan Yan,Lijuan Zhao,Angke Zhang,Na Li,En-Min Zhou,Shuqi Xiao +8 more
TL;DR: Exogenous BV treatment, both post-infection and co-incubation with BV, inhibited BVDV replication in a dose-dependent manner, indicating that BV has potent antiviral activity against BVDv.

Xiao Shuqi,Zhou Enmin,Li Shuang,Fengxing Pu +3 more
- 29 Mar 2017
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used qPCR, TCID50 and Western Blot methods for detecting influence of copying of a bovine viral diarrhea virus in MDBK cells, then the influence of treatment with different concentrations of biliverdin on the MDBk cell proliferation activity was detected, the effect of biliversdin on resisting the bovinesv diarrhea virus was determined, and the basis was provided for preparation of the anti-bovine virus diarrhea virus drug.
