The temporal expression patterns of brain transcriptome during chicken development and ageing.
Zhongxian Xu,Tiandong Che,Feng Li,Kai Tian,Qing Zhu,Shailendra Kumar Mishra,Yifei Dai,Mingzhou Li,Diyan Li +8 more
TL;DR: Investigating the temporal expression profiles of lncRNAs and mRNAs across 8 stages in the female chicken cerebrum showed that genes with functions in development, synapses and axons exhibited a progressive decay; genes related to immune response were up-regulated with age.

Gut microbiota in healthy and unhealthy long-living people.
Siyuan Zhang,Bo Zeng,Yinfeng Chen,Mingyao Yang,Fanli Kong,Limin Wei,Feng Li,Jiangchao Zhao,Ying Li +8 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper assessed the human gut microbiota in long-living people by metagenomic sequencing of stool samples and found that the healthy long living group contained a higher abundance of Bacteroidetes and more functional pathways in energy metabolism, glycan biosynthesis and metabolism.

Transcriptome Profiling across Five Tissues of Giant Panda.
Feng Li,Feng Li,Chengdong Wang,Zhongxian Xu,Mingzhou Li,Deng Linhua,Ming Wei,Hemin Zhang,Wu Kai,Ruihong Ning,Diyan Li,Mingyao Yang,Mingwang Zhang,Qingyong Ni,Bo Zeng,Desheng Li,Ying Li +16 more
TL;DR: This study provided for the first time the heart, liver, lung, and kidney's transcriptome resources of the giant panda, and it provided a valuable resource for further genetic research or other potential research.
The Use of RNAi Technology to Interfere with Zfx Gene Increases the Male Rates of Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) Offspring.
Limin Wei,Limin Wei,Jifeng Xi,Yongsheng Zhang,Bo Zeng,Feng Li,Feng Li,Kaisheng Wang,Siyuan Zhang,Xi‐Tang Zhao,Ying Li,Hong Shen,Song Jiang,Bin Jia +13 more
TL;DR: The result suggests that Zfx siRNA is a useful approach to control offspring sex in red deer, and confirms that the Zfx gene plays a significant role in the process of X spermatogenesis.
