The impact of tandem duplication on gene evolution in Solanaceae species
TL;DR: In this paper , the genomes of three Solanaceae species (S. lycopersicum, Capsicum annuum, and Petunia inflata ) were analyzed to investigate the phenomenon of tandem gene evolution with or without WGT.

Large-scale gene expression alterations introduced by structural variation drive morphotype diversification in Brassica oleracea.
Xing Li,Yong Wang,Chengcheng Cai,Jialei Ji,Fengqing Han,Lei Zhang,Shumin Chen,Lingkui Zhang,Yinqing Yang,Qi Tang,John C. Bucher,Xuelin Wang,Limei Yang,Zhuang Mu,Kang Zhang,Honghao Lv,Guusje Bonnema,Yangyong Zhang,Feng Cheng +18 more
TL;DR: SVs exert bidirectional effects on the expression of numerous genes, either suppressing through DNA methylation or promoting probably by harboring transcription factor-binding elements, driving B. oleracea domestication and diversification.

The genome of Orychophragmus violaceus provides genomic insights into the evolution of Brassicaceae polyploidization and its distinct traits
Kang Zhang,Yinqing Yang,Xin Zhang,Lingkui Zhang,Yu V. Fu,Zhongwei Guo,Shumin Chen,Jian Wu,James C. Schnable,Keke Yi,Xiaowu Wang,Feng Cheng +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , a whole-genome assembly for Orychophragmus violaceus was generated using Nanopore and Hi-C sequencing technologies, and the assembled genome was ∼1.3 Gb in size, with 12 pairs of chromosomes.

Chromosome-level genome of putative autohexaploid Actinidia deliciosa provides insights into polyploidisation and evolution.
Yongbo Liu,Yi Zhou,Feng Cheng,Renchao Zhou,Yinqing Yang,Yanchang Wang,Xingtan Zhang,Douglas E. Soltis,Nengwen Xiao,Zhanjun Quan,Junsheng Li +10 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided that much of the hexaploid genome of Actinidia deliciosa matches diploid A. chinensis, indicating that if A. deliciosa is an autoploid, chromosomal rearrangement occurred following autohexaploidy.
