Ultrahigh Nitrogen Content Carbon Nanosheets for High Stable Sodium Metal Anodes
Bicheng Huang,Shixiong Sun,Jing Wan,Wen Zhang,Siying Liu,Jingwen Zhang,Feiyang Yan,Yi Liu,Jia Xu,Fang Cheng,Yue Xu,Ya-Ping Lin,Chun Fang,Jiantao Han,Yunhui Huang +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a facile fabricated sodiu-philic 2D N-doped carbon nanosheets (N‐CSss) are proposed as sodium host material for sodium metal batteries (SMBs) to prevent dendrite formation and eliminate volume change during cycling.

Unraveling the incompatibility mechanism of ethylene carbonate-based electrolytes in sodium metal anodes
Daomin Qin,Fang Cheng,Meilian Cao,Feiyang Yan,Qian Wang,Chun Fang,Jiantao Han +6 more
TL;DR: Ethylene carbonate-based electrolytes in sodium metal anodes exhibit electrochemical instability due to electrical reduction, leading to reduced coulombic efficiency and cell failure. A modified linear carbonate-based electrolyte with EMC, DMC, and FEC additives is proposed as a substitute, achieving 80% capacity retention over 1000 cycles.
