Distributed one-step upgraded estimation for non-uniformly and non-randomly distributed data
TL;DR: A novel one-step upgraded pilot (OSUP) method is proposed, which is theoretically proved to be as statistically efficient as the whole sample maximum likelihood estimator without any restrictive assumption about distribution uniformity and randomness.

Sequential one‐step estimator by sub‐sampling for customer churn analysis with massive data sets
TL;DR: In this article , a sequential one-step (SOS) estimation method was proposed for large-scale customer churn analysis, where data points need to be sampled only with uniform probabilities, and the sampling step is conducted repeatedly.

Sequential Text-Term Selection in Vector Space Models
TL;DR: This article proposes a novel term screening method for vector space models under a linear regression setup and proves the screening consistency of the method and assess the empirical performance of the proposed method with simulations based on a dataset of online consumer reviews for cellphones.

Improved Naive Bayes with Mislabeled Data
TL;DR: This paper proposed an improved Naive Bayes method for text classification, which is analytically simple and free of subjective judgements on the correct and incorrect labels, and optimize the corresponding log-likelihood function iteratively by using an EM algorithm.

- 12 Apr 2023
TL;DR: In this article , the problem of testing transfer learning sufficiency was considered and a novel testing procedure and a centralized and standardized test statistic was developed, whose asymptotic null distribution was analytically derived.
