Enhanced MRI relaxivity of aquated Gd3+ ions by carboxyphenylated water-dispersed graphene nanoribbons
Ayrat Gizzatov,Vazrik Keshishian,Adem Guven,Ayrat M. Dimiev,Feifei Qu,Raja Muthupillai,Paolo Decuzzi,Robert G. Bryant,James M. Tour,Lon J. Wilson +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that highly water-dispersed graphene nanoribbons dispersed by carboxyphenylated substituents and conjugated to aquated Gd(3+) ions can serve as a high-performance contrast agent for applications in T1- and T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with relaxivity values outperforming currently-available clinical CAs.
Nitroxide Radicals@US-Tubes: New Spin Labels for Biomedical Applications
Eladio J. Rivera,Richa Sethi,Feifei Qu,Ramkumar Krishnamurthy,Raja Muthupillai,Michael J. Alford,Michael A. Swanson,Sandra S. Eaton,Gareth R. Eaton,Lon J. Wilson +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the encapsulation of nitroxide radicals within ultrashort (ca. 50 nm) singlewalled carbon nanotubes (US-tubes) is achieved.

Peptide Cleavage-mediated Aggregation-enhanced Emission From Metal Nanoclusters for Detecting Trypsin and Screen its Inhibitors From Foods
TL;DR: In this article , a peptidyl probe is first synthesized by the amide reaction between glutathione-capped gold nanoclusters and positive charged arginine-rich peptide (Arg 9 ), and it is called Arg 9 -GSH-AuNCs.

Fetal brain tissue characterization at 1.5 T using STrategically Acquired Gradient Echo (STAGE) imaging
Feifei Qu,Taotao Sun,Taotao Sun,Yongsheng Chen,Brijesh Kumar Yadav,Ling Jiang,Zhaoxia Qian,Zhaoxia Qian,E. Mark Haacke,E. Mark Haacke +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a region-of-interest-based approach was used to measure T1app and PDapp in the subplate/intermediate zone (SP/IZ), cortical plate (CP), and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the fetal brain.

Terbium (III)-based Metallacrowns with aggregation-induced emission feature coupled with cu (II) for fluorescence detection of cysteine.
TL;DR: In this paper , a new kind of terbium-III-based Metallacrowns (Tb-MCs) with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) feature was used to build a sensing platform.
