AIM: This study was planned with the intention to reveal the factors effecting learned resourcefulness, self-efficacy and hope levels of nursing students, their interrelationships. METHODS: This descriptive research was realized with 353 students who were receiving education in the Department of Nursing of a state University in the spring semestre during the Academic Year of 2015-2016. Data were collected through General Information Form, Rosenbaum Learned Resourcefulness Scale (RLRS), General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE), and Dispositional Hope Scale (DHS) and evaluated using descriptive and comparative analysis. Interscale correlation was determined through correlation analysis. RESULTS: The mean age of nursing students was 20.87±1.88 years. The mean scores of studernts were determined to be 126.44±16.50, 28.58±5.79, and 25.21±3.27 for RLRS, GSE and DHS respectively. Mean scores of RLRS, GSE and DHS were found out to be significantly higher (p<0.05) for those who have experienced a traumatic incident. The mean RLRS, GSE and DHS scores were determined to be significantly higher (p<0.05) for students who have not experienced severe arguments and fights in their families. When the relationship among DHS, RLRS, and GSE was analysed, it was found out that there was a positively moderate level of relationship among them, whereas the relationship between RLRS and GSE was determined to be a positively low level relationship. CONCLUSION: The result of this study has revealed that experiencing traumatic incidents and severe intrafamily arguments and fights had a significant effect on learned resourcefulness, self-efficacy and hope levels of undergraduate nursing students. It was also found out that the higher their learned resourcefulness level was, the more their self-efficacy and hope levels increased.

Assessment of Learned Resourcefulness, Self-Efficacy and Hope Levels of Nursing Students: A Case Study Tekirdağ

The JSS is based on the theoretical position that job satisfaction represented an affective or attitudinal reaction to a job, and today is one of the most popular instruments used in I-O psychology. This paper discusses the contribution to the validation of an Italian adaptation of the Job Satisfaction Survey. Five hundred and twenty-seven participants (258 men, 269 women) were enrolled to participate in this study, aged between 19 and 65 (Mage = 36.0, SD = 11.7). The sample mostly worked in public administration, in health care, and in the educational sector. A self-report questionnaire is used to investigate the psychometric properties of this scale, also measuring other variables. A back-translation procedure is used. The results pinpointed the goodness of the scale and the normality distribution. Confirmative factor analyses and multigroup confirmative factor analyses were performed to verify the factorial structure of the scale. The results confirmed the same factorial structure of the original version, suggesting a nine higher-order factor structure. The results from the multigroup confirmatory factor analysis showed that this factor solution was invariant across gender (men vs. women) and found evidence for metric invariance, uniqueness invariance, and scalar and structural invariance. The findings confirmed the applicability in the Italian context.

Cross-Cultural Adaptation, Psychometric Properties and Measurement Invariance of the Italian Version of the Job Satisfaction Scale.

Öz Abstract Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğrenilmiş güçlülüğün çalışan performansı üzerine etkisini incelemek ve sosyo-demografik özellikler açısından öğrenilmiş güçlülük ve performans düzeylerinin farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını tespit etmektir. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of learned resourcefulness on employee performance and to determine whether learned resourcefulness and performance levels differ in terms of socio-demographic characteristics. Tasarım/Yöntem: Araştırmada basit tesadüfi örneklem yöntemiyle belirlenen 611 katılımcıya anket uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS aracılığıyla analize tabi tutulmuştur. Design/Methodology: In the study, a questionnaire was applied to 611 participants determined by simple random sampling method. The data obtained were analyzed through SPSS. Bulgular: Analizler sonucunda, öğrenilmiş güçlülüğün çalışan performansı üzerinde pozitif etkiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Cinsiyet, medeni durum, kurumdaki pozisyon ve eğitim durumu açısından öğrenilmiş güçlülük düzeyi anlamlı bir farklılık göstermez iken; yaş, kurumda ve sektörde toplam çalışma yılı açısından öğrenilmiş güçlülük düzeyinin anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği saptanmıştır. Bununla birlikte cinsiyet, medeni durum, kurumdaki pozisyon, yaş, kurumda ve sektörde toplam çalışma yılı açısından performans düzeyinin farklılaşmadığı; eğitim durumuna göre ise performans düzeyinin anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Findings: As a result of the analysis, it was determined that learned resourcefulness has a positive effect on employee performance. While there is no significant difference between the learned resourcefulness level in terms of gender, marital status, position at the institution and educational status; it has been determined that there is a significant difference in the level of learned resourcefulness in terms of age, institutional and total years of work in the industry. However, it is observed that the performance level does not differ in terms of gender, marital status, position at the institution, age, and total working years in the institution and the sector; It was determined that the performance level showed a significant difference according to the education level. Sınırlılıklar: Alan araştırması kapsamında toplanan verilerin kesitsel olması ve örneklemin İstanbul ve Aksaray illerinde faaliyet gösteren iki otomotiv firması çalışanlarından oluşması araştırmanın sınırlılıklarıdır. Limitations: The limitations of the study are that the data collected within the scope of the field study are cross-sectional and the sample consists of employees of two automotive companies operating in Istanbul and Aksaray provinces. Özgünlük/Değer: Çalışma yaşamında öğrenilmiş güçlülük konusunu ve öğrenilmiş güçlülüğün çalışan performansı üzerine etkisini araştıran çalışma sayısının az olması, literatürdeki boşluğu doldurmaya katkı sağlaması açısından önem taşımaktadır. Originality/Value: The low number of studies investigating the issue of learned resourcefulness in working life and the effect of learned resourcefulness on employee performance is important in terms of contributing to filling the gap in the literature. Dönüşümcü Liderliğin, Örgütsel İnovasyon Üzerindeki Etkisinde Örgütsel Öğrenmenin Aracı Rolü

Purpose – Today one of the most significant obstruction in front of entrepreneurship is the finance related problems. In addition to classical sources of finance such as bank credit financing, public and financial sectors are developing alternative sources of financing to eliminate this problem. Considering that the entrepreneurs of today are making technology-based initiatives, venture capital stands out as an important and powerful alternative. In this context the objective of the study is to compare the venture capital and bank finance usage of the firms located in the first technopark of Turkey, namely METU (Middle East Technical University) Technopark and to determine the factors that affect the usage of these two sources of finance. Design/methodology/approach – In line with the aforementioned objective survey method is utilized in the study. In this context survey is delivered to 281 firms of 376 operating in METU Technopark. Out of this 281 firms, 114 have accepted to participate in the survey. For the analysis of the data obtained through survey method SPSS and STATA software are utilized and descriptive statistics and Probit analysis are made. Findings – According to the findings of the research 58.8% of the firms use bank finance while 16.7% use venture capital. According to the results of the Probit analysis, the gender, age, trainings of entrepreneurship received and the level of bank finance knowledge of the entrepreneurs who have participated in the survey affect bank finance. On the other hand business experience, existence of an independent finance department at workplace and the level of both bank finance and venture capital knowledge affect the probability of using venture capital. Discussion – The literature on bank finance and venture capital and the results of the study reveal that bank finance as a source of financing is still in great demand for the entrepreneurs. However the findings assert that venture capital has a substantial potential for entrepreneurs.

Girişimciliğin Finansmanında Banka Finansmanına Karşı Risk Sermayesi: ODTÜ Teknokent Örneği

The current study aims to determine the relationship between job crafting and job satisfaction. Data were collected from 239 primary school teachers. The results showed that only the gender and age differentiate the levels of job crafting and job satisfaction. There were no differences in job crafting and job satisfaction levels of the teachers participating in the survey due to other demographic characteristics. The analyses found that, as a on its own behalf job design, job crafting effects job satisfaction positively, and has significant effect on. Results of the regression analyses it was found that job crafting has causal effect on job satisfaction. According to these results, the job satisfaction' of the teachers who are more flexible in functioning and more effective in the decision process will be high and this situation can increase the educational quality. The findings of the study emphasize the need for management to improve the initiatives of teachers on their job. Applied implications of the results are discussed.

Arastirmanin amaci sube mudurlerinin liderlik tarzlari ile catisma yonetim stratejileri arasindaki iliskileri, liderlik tarzlarinin catisma yonetimi uzerindeki etkilerini ve bu degiskenlerin yoneticilerin bazi ozelliklerine gore farklilasma durumlarini ortaya koymaktir. 309 sube mudurunden elde edilen verilerin analizinde farklilik testleri ile korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri kullanilmistir. Arastirmada donusumcu ve etkilesimci liderlik tarzlarinin catisma yonetim stratejisi secimi uzerinde etkili oldugu sonucuna ulasilmistir.

Bu calismanin amaci, BDDK yonetmeliginin masraflara iliskin etkilerini ortaya koyarak bir mevzuat degerlendirmesi yapmaktir. Bu kapsamda BDDK duzenlemesi oncesi konut kredisi seklinde kullandirilan bireysel kredilere ait veriler uzerinden karsilastirma ve degerlendirmeler yapilmistir. Yapilan incelemeler sonucunda, BDDK tarafindan Yargitay kararlarinda vurgulanan “masraflarin zorunlu, makul ve belgeli olmasi” sartinin ilgili duzenlemede dikkate alinmadigi sonucuna varilmistir.

Bi̇reysel kredi̇ kullanan fi̇nansal tüketi̇ci̇lerce üstleni̇lecek masraflar; bddk düzenlemesi̇ çerçevesi̇nde karşilaştirmali bi̇r değerlendi̇rme

The aim of the study is to identify the level of learned resourcefulness of students studying at High School of Science and High School of Technical Science, and to reveal the relationship of this level with the demographic variables. A convenience sampling method was used, and 340 voluntary students were surveyed and 329 of these students were included in the analysis. Results showed that, while the level of learned resourcefulness does not differ according to students’ age, class and education, it differs according to gender and school. In addition, 12 dimensions of learned resourcefulness were studied, and in 7 dimensions statistically significant differences were found. It is expected to attract attention to learned resourcefulness of students in vocational high schools and contribute to the Turkish literature.
