Lifecycle carbon footprint comparison between internal combustion engine versus electric transit vehicle: A case study in the U.S.
Farhad Farzaneh,Sungmoon Jung +1 more
TL;DR: In this article , two vehicle models of comparable size from each category were compared using life cycle analysis (ICEV and EV) and found that the longer life of a vehicle alters the efficiency balance in favor of an electric vehicle.

Burden prediction in blasting operation using rock geomechanical properties
TL;DR: In this article, an attempt was made to develop an artificial neural network (ANN) in order to predict burden in the blasting operation of the Mouteh gold mine, using considering geomechanical properties of rocks as input parameters.

Identification of novel inhibitor against endonuclease subunit of Influenza pH1N1 polymerase: A combined molecular docking, molecular dynamics, MMPBSA, QMMM and ADME studies to combat influenza A viruses
Seyed Sajad Mohseni,Fariborz Nasri,Kambiz Davari,Sako Mirzaie,Atousa Moradzadegan,Fatemeh Abdi,Farhad Farzaneh +6 more
TL;DR: Molecular mechanism based study revealed that upon inhibitor binding; the flexibility of PA backbone is increased, which demonstrates the plasticity of PA active site, and it should be noticed in drug design against PA Influenza A viruses.

Experimental and numerical investigation on enhancing capped-end tube energy absorption capacity by orifice effect
Farhad Farzaneh,Sungmoon Jung +1 more
TL;DR: In this article , a method of energy absorption via phase change material (PCM)-filled circular tubes with caps and orifices on their end surfaces was proposed, and the specific energy absorption capacity and force-displacement curves were derived as a function of geometrical parameters including thickness, diameter, and orifice size.

Evaluation of Blasting Patterns Using Operational Research Models / Ocena Planów Prac Strzałowych W Oparciu O Metody Badań Operacyjnych
TL;DR: In this article, an attempt has been made to develop a new hybrid MADM model for selecting the most appropriate blasting pattern in Chadormalu iron mine, Iran, where DEA method was utilized to select the efficient blast patterns thereafter TOPSIS was used to recognize the most suitable pattern amongst the selected patterns by DEA method.
