TL;DR: In this paper , a frame-level multi-label classification problem was formulated to detect instrument playing technique (IPT) in polyphonic instrumental solo pieces with overlapping IPTs or mixed IPTs, and a new method was proposed to solve this problem using multi-scale network and self-attention.
