Extremely long-distance electron transfer in porphyrin or phthalocyanine systems directly functionalized by an oligo(phenyleneethynylene) spacer
TL;DR: In this article, the attachment of a π-conjugated bridge directly on the meso position of the porphyrin via an ethynyl or ethenyl linkage affords significant electronic coupling both on the ground and excited states.

Simpler and more efficient strategy to stabilize the chromophore orientation in electro-optic polymers with copper-free thermal Huisgen reaction
Clément Cabanetos,Errol Blart,Yann Pellegrin,Véronique Montembault,Laurent Fontaine,Frédéric Adamietz,Vincent Rodriguez,Fabrice Odobel +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new strategy is proposed to stabilize the electro-optic activity of second-order materials using copper-free thermal Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cross-linking reaction.

Effect of the triazole ring in zinc porphyrin-fullerene dyads on the charge transfer processes in NiO-based devices.
Vasilis Nikolaou,Fabian Plass,Aurélien Planchat,Asterios Charisiadis,Georgios Charalambidis,Panagiotis A. Angaridis,Axel Kahnt,Axel Kahnt,Fabrice Odobel,Athanassios G. Coutsolelos +9 more
TL;DR: Three covalently linked donor-acceptor zinc porphyrin-fullerene dyads exhibited enhanced performance in terms of photovoltaic measurements with more than threefold increase compared to the reference compound PhtrZnPCOOH in which the C60 acceptor is absent.

Synergetic anticancer activity of gold porphyrin appended to phenyl tin malonate organometallic complexes.
Christophe Nguyen,Isabelle Toubia,Isabelle Toubia,Stéphane Diring,Kamel Hadj-Kaddour,Magali Gary-Bobo,Marwan Kobeissi,Fabrice Odobel +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, two dyads consisting of a gold porphyrin appended to organotin(IV) entities were synthesized and their physicochemical and biological properties were characterized.

Size dependence of efficiency of PbS quantum dots in NiO-based dye sensitised solar cells and mechanistic charge transfer investigation
Mahfoudh Raïssi,Muhammad T. Sajjad,Yann Pellegrin,Thomas Roland,Stéphane Jobic,Mohammed Boujtita,Arvydas Ruseckas,Ifor D. W. Samuel,Fabrice Odobel +8 more
TL;DR: Control of the PbS QDs size is used to understand charge transfer processes at the interfaces of a NiO semiconductor and explain the optimal QD size in photovoltaic devices and believe that the detailed findings will advance the future design of QD sensitized photocathodes.
