Haruko Iida,Haruhito Takano,Kentaro Meguro,Kenichi Asada,Hitoshi Oonuma,Toshihiro Morita,Miwa Kurano,F. Sakagami,Kansei Uno,Ken Hirose,Ken Hirose,Taiji Nagata,Katsu Takenaka,Jun-ichi Suzuki,Yasunobu Hirata,T. Furuichi,Fumio Eto,Ryozo Nagai,Yoshiaki Sato,Toshiaki Nakajima +19 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that the application of KAATSU on both legs induces venous pooling in the legs, and then inhibits venous return, which causes a decrease of IVC diameter, cardiac size and stroke volume with an increase in TPR and LFRR/HFRR.
Effects of low-intensity KAATSU resistance training on skeletal muscle size/strength and endurance capacity in patients with ischemic heart disease
Toshiaki Nakajima,Miwa Kurano,F. Sakagami,Haruko Iida,Kazuya Fukumura,Taira Fukuda,Haruhito Takano,Haruhiko Madarame,Takahiko Yasuda,Taiji Nagata,Yoshiaki Sato,Tatsuya Yamasoba,Toshihiro Morita +12 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that LIKRT increases muscle strength/mass and endurance capacity in patients with IHD, and appears to be a promising and effective resistance method in cardiac rehabilitation.
