Double differential neutron spectra generated by the interaction of a 12 MeV/nucleon $^{36}$S beam on a thick $^{nat}$Cu target
N.D. Trinh,N.D. Trinh,M. Fadil,M. Lewitowicz,X. Ledoux,B. Laurent,J. C. Thomas,T. Clerc,V. Desmezières,M. Dupuis,A. Madeline,E. Dessay,G. F. Grinyer,G. F. Grinyer,J Grinyer,N. Ménard,F. Porée,L Achouri,Franck Delaunay,M. Parlog +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, double differential neutron spectra (energy, angle) originating from a thick nat Cu target bombarded by a 12 MeV/nucleon 36 S 16 + + beam were measured by the activation method and the Time-of-flight technique at the Grand Accelerateur National d'Ions Lourds (GANIL).

Experimental approach to measure thick target neutron yields induced by heavy ions for shielding
N.D. Trinh,M. Fadil,M. Lewitowicz,C. Brouillard,T. Clerc,S. Damoy,V. Desmezières,E. Dessay,M. Dupuis,G. F. Grinyer,J. Grinyer,Bertrand Jacquot,X. Ledoux,A. Madeline,N. Ménard,M. Michel,V. Morel,F. Porée,B. Rannou,A. Savalle +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, double differential (angular and energy) neutron distributions were measured using an activation foil technique and compared to Monte-Carlo calculations from two codes (PHITS and FLUKA) for the purpose of benchmarking radiation protection and shielding requirements.
