Caleigh Mandel-Brehm,Leslie Benson,Baouyen Tran,Andrew F. Kung,Sabrina A Mann,Sara E. Vazquez,Hanna Retallack,Hannah A. Sample,Kelsey C. Zorn,Lillian M. Khan,Lauren M. Kerr,Patrick L McAlpine,Lichao Zhang,F. McCarthy,Joshua E. Elias,Umakanth Katwa,Christina M Astley,Stuart Tomko,Josep Dalmau,William W. Seeley,Samuel J. Pleasure,Michael R. Wilson,Mark P. Gorman,Joseph L. DeRisi +23 more
TL;DR: The objective is to determine if an autoimmune paraneoplastic etiology underlies ROHHAD, a severe pediatric disorder of uncertain etiology resulting in hypothalamic dysfunction and frequent sudden death.
Delineation of proteome changes driven by cell size and growth rate
Evgeny Zatulovskiy,Michael Charles Lanz,Shuyuan Zhang,F. McCarthy,Joshua E. Elias,Jan M. Skotheim +5 more
TL;DR: It is found that large cell size and mTOR inhibition, both of which lower the growth rate of a cell, remodel the proteome in similar ways, which suggests that many of the effects of cell size are mediated by the size-dependent slowdown of the cellular growth rate.
Extracellular Vesicles in Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.
J.William Maller,Terry K. Morgan,Mayu Morita,F. McCarthy,Yunshin Jung,Katrin J. Svensson,Joshua E. Elias,Claudia Macaubas,Elizabeth D. Mellins +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the extracellular vesicles (EVs) mediated by intercellular communication were found to contribute to sJIA pathogenesis and that the number and cellular sources of EVs would differ between inactive and active states of SJIA and healthy controls.
