High-dose platinum versus standard dose in advanced ovarian carcinoma: a randomized trial from the Gynecologic Cooperative Group of the French Comprehensive Cancer Centers (FNCLCC).
Florence Joly,J.F. Héron,P. Kerbrat,J. Chauvergne,M. Rios,F. Mayer,P. Chinet-Charrot,A. Goupil,D. Lebrun-Jezekova,D. Vennin,Catherine Lhommé,J. Macé-Lesec'h,H. Crouet +12 more
TL;DR: The platinum dose intensification obtained with the CCC association improves the treatment failure-free survival without significant impact on overall survival when compared with the CC regimen in suboptimal debulked ovarian adenocarcinoma but because of its high rate of hematologic toxicity and ototoxicity, this association cannot be recommended for routine practice.
