TL;DR: In this article , an advanced distortion-manipulator on an ArFi immersion scanner is introduced to enable up to 9th order lens distortion manipulation and control in the non-scanning slit direction, with future extendibility to on-the-fly adjustments while scanning.

TL;DR: A simple model of the degradation of the first mirror that starts with the conditions of the required measurement performance and the geometry of the port plug finds that for a fully passive system the design should strive for the longest duct length possible.
